About PB IDI
Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (IDI) is Indonesia’s professional association for doctors, providing a national organization for medical professionals and maintaining links with the Ministry of Health. Guided by a vision of ethical, independent, professional doctors who value collegiality, IDI promotes medical ethics, professional solidarity, and a healthy, dignified society. Its network spans 33 regions and 242 branches, serving more than 32,000 members.
The organization supports the medical community through professional education, scientific activities, training, and information about the Indonesian Medical Doctor Competency Examination. Its website features medical journals, including the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Journal of Indonesian Medical Ethics, alongside articles on health, medical history, and professional affairs. IDI also shares event announcements and information about its organizational leadership and regional branches.
Through its “IDI Reborn” initiative, the association expresses a commitment to becoming more independent, modern, accountable, collaborative, and effective. Its work brings together professional development, ethical practice, and collegial cooperation in support of doctors and the wider Indonesian community.
