The Indonesian Medical Association (Ikatan Dokter Indonesia, IDI) is the professional organization representing doctors across Indonesia. It provides a national organizational home for physicians and works to strengthen medical ethics, collegiality, professionalism, and doctors’ contribution to a healthy and dignified society. IDI’s vision is to foster Indonesian doctors who are ethical, independent, and professional while upholding fellowship among colleagues.

Through its national, regional, and branch structures, IDI serves members across 33 regions and 242 branches. Its website shares information about the association’s leadership, organizational activities, and events, alongside resources for continuing medical education and professional development. These include scientific activities, training and workshops, information on the Indonesian Medical Doctor Competency Examination, and medical journals such as the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Indonesian Medical Ethics Journal. IDI also publishes health information for the public and announces programs and major professional gatherings. Through its “IDI Reborn” initiative, the association emphasizes organizational renewal, independence, accountability, collaboration, and consistent performance in support of Indonesia’s medical profession.
