About PB IDI
Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (IDI) is Indonesia’s professional organization for doctors, bringing together physicians across the country and maintaining an affiliation with the Ministry of Health. Its stated vision is to foster ethical, independent, and professional doctors who uphold collegiality. IDI also aims to strengthen medical ethics and professional solidarity while contributing to a healthy and dignified society.
With 33 regional organizations and 242 branches, IDI provides a nationwide network for its members. Its activities include professional education, scientific events, training, and information about the Indonesian Doctor Competency Examination. The organization also supports medical writing and publishes professional journals, including the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Indonesian Medical Ethics Journal.
