About PB IDI
The Indonesian Medical Association, known as Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (IDI), is the professional organization representing doctors across Indonesia. Affiliated with the Ministry of Health, it works to strengthen medical ethics, collegiality, professional independence, and cooperation among physicians, while supporting a healthy and dignified society. IDI’s stated vision is to foster Indonesian doctors who are ethical, independent, and professional, and who uphold fellowship among colleagues.
With a network spanning 33 regions and 242 branches, IDI serves a reported membership of 32,220 doctors. Its activities include professional education, scientific meetings, training, and competency-related information for physicians. The organization also shares medical publications, including the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Indonesian Medical Ethics Journal, alongside news and public health information. Featured initiatives include medical writing programs and training related to first aid for children. Through its programs, publications, regional network, and organizational development agenda, IDI seeks to support doctors’ professional growth and contribute to healthcare in Indonesia.
