About PB IDI
The Indonesian Medical Association (Ikatan Dokter Indonesia, or IDI) is a professional organization that represents and supports doctors across Indonesia. Its stated vision is to foster ethical, independent, and professional doctors who uphold collegiality. IDI works to strengthen medical ethics and professional fellowship while contributing to a healthy and dignified society. The organization operates through a network of 33 regional branches and 242 local chapters, serving a membership of more than 32,000 doctors.
IDI’s activities include professional education, scientific events, medical competency information, and continuing medical education partnerships. It also publishes medical journals, including the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Indonesian Medical Ethics Journal, and offers workshops such as training in systematic review writing. Its website shares organizational information, leadership details, news, and health-related articles, as well as updates about conferences and programs. Through its “IDI Reborn” initiative, the association describes its goal of becoming a more independent, modern, accountable, collaborative, and effective professional organization.
