About PB IDI
The Indonesian Medical Association, known as Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (IDI), is the professional organization representing doctors across Indonesia. Affiliated with the government through the Ministry of Health, IDI works to strengthen medical professionalism, ethics, collegiality, and cooperation among physicians, while supporting the goal of a healthy and dignified society. Its network spans 33 regions and 242 branches, with more than 32,000 members.
IDI provides organizational information and access to regional and branch networks, and shares updates on medical education, professional activities, and competency examinations. Its programs include scientific events, training such as article-writing workshops, and initiatives including the Anak Siaga Tanggap Rawat Luka school program. The association also supports medical knowledge and discussion through publications, including the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Indonesian Medical Ethics Journal.
Guided by its “IDI Reborn” vision, the organization describes its direction as independent, modern, accountable, collaborative, and grounded in professional solidarity.
