About PB IDI
The Indonesian Medical Association (Ikatan Dokter Indonesia, or IDI) is a professional organization that represents doctors across Indonesia and works in affiliation with the Ministry of Health. Its vision is to foster ethical, independent, and professional physicians who uphold collegiality. IDI also aims to strengthen medical ethics and cooperation among doctors while contributing to a healthy and dignified society.
With 33 regional organizations and 242 branches, IDI provides a nationwide network for its members. Its activities include professional education, scientific events, competency-related information, training, and medical publications. The association shares journals such as the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Indonesian Journal of Medical Ethics, alongside resources on medical writing and continuing medical education.
IDI also organizes initiatives and public information programs, including child injury-care education, and publishes articles on health topics and the history of Indonesian medicine. Through its “IDI Reborn” agenda, the organization describes a commitment to becoming more independent, modern, accountable, collaborative, and responsive in serving doctors and supporting public health.
