Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (IDI) is Indonesia’s professional medical association, bringing together doctors nationwide and working in affiliation with the Ministry of Health. Its stated vision is to foster ethical, independent and professional Indonesian doctors who uphold collegiality. The organization also aims to strengthen medical ethics and professional solidarity while contributing to a healthy and dignified society.

IDI operates through 33 regional organizations and 242 branches, serving a reported membership of 32,220 doctors. Its activities include professional education, scientific events and training, alongside information about the Indonesian Doctor Competency Examination. The association also supports medical knowledge and discussion through publications, including the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Indonesian Journal of Medical Ethics.
