I Diversabili ODV E. T. S.

is a volunteer organization based in Lucera, in Italy’s Puglia region, founded in 1992 by parents seeking greater support and visibility for their children with disabilities. The association promotes dignity, rights, inclusion and self-determination, working with families and the wider community to help people build autonomy and participate in social life. It manages an authorized multipurpose social center for people with disabilities and a social chocolate workshop that supports workplace inclusion.

Its activities provide opportunities to learn, develop relationships and practise everyday skills. Programs include cognitive stimulation, personal and domestic autonomy, emotional and social literacy, guided outings, gardening, artistic workshops, music therapy, physical and psychomotor activities, and recreational sessions. The association also offers a listening service for participants and their families.

Through projects such as shared meal preparation and service, participants can practise practical skills in a supportive setting. I Diversabili also works to strengthen local networks, raise public awareness, support school and community inclusion, and help families understand disability rights
