Recently, they reported on the Bloomington Plan Commission's meeting, where residents expressed concerns about a petition to build and rezone a 139-acre mixed residential development off Weimer Road.

Sudbury Development Partners, LLC is proposing to create five distinct neighborhoods with up to 6,000 residential units, along with amenities like a fire station, a trailhead, and road connections. The Plan Commission voted to move the petition to a second hearing in September. Concerns were raised about the potential strain on infrastructure and schools, as well as the need to prioritize environmental protection standards.

The development is expected to take around eight to nine years to complete if approved. Indiana Daily Student will continue to cover this issue and keep the community informed about its progress. Stay tuned for more updates
