About IDWF
The International Domestic Workers Federation (IDWF) is a pioneering global organization dedicated to advocating for the rights of domestic and household workers. Established in 2013, the IDWF represents over 669,000 members across 93 affiliates in 69 countries, working to ensure that domestic work is recognized as legitimate labor deserving of equal rights and protections. The IDWF promotes a strong, democratic, and united movement for domestic workers worldwide, supporting them through various campaigns, capacity-building initiatives, and resource sharing.
Notable achievements include the successful mobilization for the International Labour Organization's Convention 189 on Decent Work for Domestic Workers, a significant milestone in labor rights.
