The International Energy Agency’s Energy in Buildings and Communities Programme (IEA EBC) is an international research and innovation initiative focused on energy in buildings and communities. Through collaborative research and development projects involving 26 member countries, the programme supports the exchange of knowledge and development of solutions for a more energy-efficient built environment. Its work addresses priorities including the refurbishment of existing buildings, reducing the performance gap between design and actual operation, affordable and robust technologies, energy-efficient cooling, and integrated solutions at district level.

IEA EBC shares the results of its work through scientific reports, policy-focused summaries, annual and summary reports, and other publications.
