The Institute of European Democrats (IED) is an independent Research Institute and a non-profit association based in Brussels. As the political foundation affiliated with the European Democratic Party (EDP), the IED offers fresh political ideas and a strong cultural background. It is formally recognized and funded by the European Parliament.

The IED operates as a political think tank, promoting activities such as studies, analysis, workshops, conferences, and seminars.
