About Inland Empire Harm Reduction
Inland Empire Harm Reduction (IEHR) is a local, community-based, non-profit organization that focuses on improving the health and well-being of individuals affected by drug use in Riverside County and surrounding areas. Founded in 2018, IEHR seeks to engage in and provide harm reduction services to the community. At IEHR, we recognize that drug use is a part of our world, and instead of ignoring or condemning those who use, we aim to minimize its harmful effects.
We believe that drug users are people who deserve support and understanding, and their lives have value. We empower users to make informed decisions by sharing information and supporting each other in strategies that prioritize their safety and well-being. Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of people affected by drug use in the Inland Empire.
To achieve this, we offer a range of services including overdose prevention education and naloxone distribution, syringe services, and healthcare and community resource referrals. We believe that harm reduction is essential in addressing the serious social issues related to drug use. By providing education, resources, and support, we aim to create a safer environment for individuals using drugs and their communities.
