About IFA
Institute of Foreign Affairs (IFA) is a leading think tank specializing in foreign affairs research, training, and consulting in Africa. With a mission to conduct thorough research and analysis on foreign affairs issues, IFA provides policymakers with alternative policy directions and trains and empowers foreign relation personnel. As a center of excellence, IFA upholds global ethical principles and values, along with its own organisational values of patriotism, professional excellence, proactive-ness, confidentiality, collaboration, problem solving, new perspective, and trustworthiness.
With a vision to be among the top five leading think tanks in Africa by 2032, IFA offers a range of products and services geared towards enhancing understanding and shaping foreign affairs. These include conferences, training programs, and crisis management and communication initiatives. Recently, IFA successfully concluded a three-day training program on International Crisis management and Crisis communication, and also hosted the first annual conference on Red Sea security dynamics. The institute continues to attract global experts and professionals, such as Nina Wilén, Director of the Africa Programme at the Egmont Royal Institute for International Relations, who recently visited IFA.
