The Iowa Foundation for Agricultural Advancement (IFAA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Iowa 4-H and FFA youth and developing the next generation of agricultural leaders. Working with Iowa 4-H and FFA organizations, donors, and other supporters, the foundation provides merit-based financial awards to students involved in agricultural projects who plan to continue their education in agriculture within Iowa.
IFAA’s Winner’s Circle Scholarship Program supports more than a hundred students each year pursuing post-secondary studies in an agricultural field. Its other major program is the Sale of Champions at the Iowa State Fair, where 16 4-H and FFA exhibitors sell their champion livestock with support from local and national buyers. The foundation also recognizes achievement through awards and shares sale results and exhibitor information.
To fund and sustain its work, IFAA welcomes members, volunteers, and donations. It also hosts an annual four-person best-ball golf tournament, which includes golf, a cart, lunch, beverages, and pin prizes.
