About iFLEX project
The iFLEX project is dedicated to Intelligent Assistants for Flexibility Management, aiming to empower energy consumers to participate in demand response solutions. By adjusting energy consumption based on price signals or incentives, consumers play a crucial role in supporting the integration of renewable energy sources like solar power. The project focuses on household consumers, leveraging their flexible resources such as solar panels and household appliances to balance the energy system.
Central to the project is the iFLEX Assistant, a cutting-edge software agent that automates demand response processes while allowing consumers to maintain control over their energy management. Deployed in Finland, Slovenia, and Greece, the iFLEX Assistant is tailored to meet the specific needs of each pilot site. Funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 programme, the iFLEX project showcases the potential of advanced technologies in shaping a more sustainable and efficient energy future
