About IFOAM Organics Europe
AgriBioMediterraneo (ABM) is a distinguished regional group of IFOAM - Organics International, recognized in 1997. ABM unites 146 IFOAM Affiliates from 16 Mediterranean countries, fostering the connection between organic agriculture and sustainable development. They focus on promoting Mediterranean organic agriculture through initiatives spanning marketing, training, research, and standards.
With a strong emphasis on local markets and regional standards, they cover organic olive culture, viticulture, citrus and Mediterranean fruits, arable crops, and livestock. Spearheaded by a dedicated leadership team, including President Drazen Lusic, ABM aims to disseminate knowledge and expertise in the realm of sustainable food production. Their initiatives encompass various aspects of organic farming, contributing to addressing hunger, malnutrition, poverty, water use, climate change, and unsustainable production and consumption.
