L’Ifpo est un centre de recherche en sciences humaines et sociales (SHS) du réseau des Instituts français de recherche à l'étranger (Ifre) ; il est placé sous la double tutelle du Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) et du Ministère de l’Europe et des affaires étrangères (MEAE). Présent en Irak, Jordanie, Liban, dans les Territoires palestiniens et en Syrie (sites fermés au public), l’Ifpo couvre l’ensemble des SHS ayant pour objet la région et ses cultures de la préhistoire à nos jours.

About Institut français du Proche-Orient
Ifpo is the Institut français du Proche-Orient (French Institute for the Near East), a renowned institution that offers a range of products and services for those interested in advancing their knowledge of Arabic language and culture. They provide Arabic courses in their yearly program, which runs from October 2023 to May 2024 in both Amman and Beirut. This intensive program spans 27 weeks, divided into three terms with breaks in between.
To be part of this program, applicants must submit a complete application form by email before the 15th of July 2023. Ifpo's Arabic students in Jordan have attested to the effectiveness of their courses in helping them make rapid progress in Arabic. With experienced teachers and comprehensive language resources, Ifpo is dedicated to providing a rich learning experience for those interested in studying the Arabic language
