About IFSWF
The International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF) is a voluntary organization that brings together global sovereign wealth funds to promote dialogue, research, and self-assessment. Established in 2008 by 23 leading state-owned international investors, the IFSWF develops governance and risk-management frameworks known as the Santiago Principles. Today, the organization represents over 30 sovereign wealth funds from around the world, each with unique mandates and levels of development.
Alongside implementing the Santiago Principles, the IFSWF conducts research, facilitates peer assistance, and organizes workshops to enhance members' investment capabilities. By sharing experiences and encouraging transparency, the IFSWF helps foster good governance practices within its membership. The organization also seeks to raise risk-adjusted returns by sharing knowledge on governance, investment, and operational issues.
Furthermore, the IFSWF represents its members to the wider financial community and serves as a collaborative platform for engagement with multilateral finance organizations
