IG gesunder Boden

Interessengemeinschaft gesunder Boden e. V. is an organization dedicated to promoting healthy, living soils and representing their interests.

It works to help people understand soil as a vital foundation for the health of air, water, plants, animals and humans, and to encourage soil management that supports fertile, humus-rich land. The organization highlights the role of healthy soil in addressing challenges such as drought, erosion, pest pressure, plant and animal health, and declining fertility. It explains how humus-rich soils can store water, absorb heavy rainfall while retaining their structure, and contribute to water filtration and landscape cooling.
