IG-Reiter

The Interessengemeinschaft Reiter & Fahrer Kreis Herzogtum-Lauenburg e.V. is a registered nonprofit association representing riders and carriage drivers in the Herzogtum Lauenburg district of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. An independent affiliated association of the Schleswig-Holstein Equestrian Sports Association since 2005, it works to improve opportunities for riding and driving across the region. Its priority is creating local equestrian routes and connecting routes between neighboring communities, while also protecting and maintaining existing trails.

The association raises trail concerns with relevant local authorities, forestry representatives and landowners, and supports efforts to keep paths accessible and usable. Its updates cover local route conditions, maintenance projects, construction affecting access and other matters of interest to horse owners and riders. Members and interested visitors can also find information about meetings, events and membership, as well as contact the association for assistance or to report trail issues.

Community activities have included group riding challenges, supported by donated prizes, and the association shares news through its website and social media.
