About IG Wien
IG Wien is a vibrant and critical brand that aims to bring diverse voices and critical minds to the European Forum Alpbach. Since its establishment in 2007, IG Wien has provided scholarships to 218 motivated individuals, ensuring that the panels and scholarship recipients are not dominated by a homogeneous mass of political opinions and backgrounds. As an inclusive group, IG Wien is committed to fostering an open discourse by bringing young critics to the European Forum Alpbach.
Their mission is to promote diversity in their own structures, themes, and approaches, as well as within the European Forum Alpbach. Through their activities, they strive to facilitate and support discussions on contemporary challenges. With a relentless dedication to the Alpbach concept, IG Wien encourages their scholarship recipients to engage and speak out both in Alpbach and beyond.
