I Grow Africa Centre (IGAC) is a grassroots, not-for-profit civic and social organization based in Kenya. Since 2021, it has worked with women, youth, and marginalized communities to alleviate poverty through community-led, sustainable development. Its mission is to equip communities to lead climate-smart solutions, restore ecosystems, strengthen green economies, and expand access to clean water, dignified sanitation, and quality education.
IGAC’s programs connect livelihoods with environmental action. In sustainable agriculture and agribusiness, it supports climate-smart practices and offers tree seedling supply and training. Its climate action work promotes environmental stewardship, biodiversity, and resilient communities. Water, sanitation, and hygiene initiatives use nature-based approaches to restore water sources, encourage sustainable sanitation, and support water harvesting. Education and skills services include digital learning, vocational training, and apprenticeships, preparing young people for work and life.
The organization also advances economic empowerment through initiatives such as village savings and loans, entrepreneurship support, and opportunities for women and youth to develop eco-friendly enterprises.
