IGDetective is a web-based Instagram activity tracker launched in 2025 by Steven Duncan, rooted in the belief that individuals deserve quick access to the truth. Designed for monitoring public Instagram accounts, IGDetective offers a range of features including tracking recent follows, followers, likes, comments, and Stories. Users can anonymously view Stories without needing an Instagram login, ensuring a seamless experience while respecting user privacy.

The inception of IGDetective was inspired by personal experiences where Duncan faced uncertainty in relationships and the worries of family members about their children's social interactions. These challenges highlighted the need for a tool that could provide clarity quickly, eliminating the anxiety of manual tracking.

IGDetective empowers users by allowing them to confirm their instincts easily and efficiently, making it not just a tool for the skeptical partner but also a resource for concerned parents. With a commitment to transparency and the use of publicly available data, IGDetective aims to transform how individuals engage with social media relationships.
