Igloo Coolers

Igloo is an American cooler brand whose history began in 1947, when it made steel water jugs for oil field workers. Over more than 75 years, the company has built a reputation for products designed to keep food and drinks cold while supporting outdoor recreation and everyday gatherings. Its best-known innovation is the Playmate cooler, introduced in 1971 and recognized for its distinctive design, which is displayed at the Smithsonian. Igloo also cites milestones including an early plastic cooler, the first wheeled cooler in 1994, and hardside coolers made from recycled plastic in 2021.

Today, Igloo offers a broad range of hard-sided, soft-sided, and electric coolers, including wheeled models, backpacks, lunch bags, totes, and fanny packs. Its drinkware selection includes bottles, cans, jugs, tumblers, and mugs. The brand also sells accessories and products created with licensed partners, featuring characters, sports teams, and pop-culture themes. Igloo emphasizes practical, durable, versatile, and stylish designs for people of all ages.
