About Dubai Humanitarian
IHC is the largest humanitarian hub in the world, established in 2003 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates. It is a non-profit, independent, humanitarian free-zone Authority that brings together a diverse community of members including UN organizations, international non-governmental organizations, intergovernmental organizations, and commercial companies. With its strategic location near Al Maktoum Airport and Jebel Ali Port, IHC enables quick and efficient movement of shipments from sea to air, ensuring rapid response in emergency situations.
It serves as a vital platform for the international humanitarian community, consisting of over 80 members from 68 different nationalities. Additionally, IHC collaborates with private sector players, academic institutions, and Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives to foster innovation, knowledge sharing, and partnerships for the betterment of humanitarian work.
