About iiDebate
The International Institute of Debate (IIDebate) is a non-profit organization that aims to inspire and empower young people to become active citizens in their communities. They achieve this through the delivery of trainings and the organization of conferences.
IIDebate offers trainings in various fields to engage youth in critical thinking and encourage them to be more active in their communities. These trainings cover themes such as debate, communication skills, public speaking, and project creation. The trainings are conducted by a network of well-experienced trainers who are certified by international organizations.
Additionally, IIDebate organizes conferences on a regular basis in partnership with civil society organizations and their main partners. These conferences provide participants with the opportunity to improve their communication skills and overcome their fears of public speaking. It is also a platform for like-minded individuals to exchange cutting-edge ideas in fields such as academia, industry, multi-level marketing, and religious groups.
What sets IIDebate apart is their focus on not only discussing world issues, but also on executing initiatives on the ground to make a positive impact in communities. Through competitions and challenges, IIDebate encourages participants to think about the problems in their communities, conduct research, and come up with creative solutions. They assist and support these initiatives to evolve into programs and projects.
With 10 debate clubs, 3000 people trained, 40 partners, and 10 projects initiated, IIDebate has established itself as a leader in promoting youth engagement and empowering them to create change. The organization was founded by Elyes Guermazi, Salma Haddad, and Wadii Boughedir.
Overall, IIDebate is dedicated to developing the next generation of civic leaders, activists, and change agents by providing young people with the opportunity to actively participate in the political process.
