Investors in the Environment (iiE) is a UK-based, not-for-profit environmental accreditation scheme supporting organisations of all sizes and sectors to improve sustainability, reduce environmental impacts and save money. Its practical framework helps members set goals, assess their environmental performance, take action and track progress through a structured Environmental Management System. Organisations can work towards Bronze, Silver or Green accreditation, progressing from sound environmental management foundations to measurable improvements, carbon reduction and sustainability integrated into everyday operations.
iiE membership combines guidance from knowledgeable advisers with resources, templates, reviews and support to help organisations make progress, including those without in-house sustainability expertise. The organisation also offers training, including IEMA/ISEP and Carbon Literacy courses, alongside learning materials such as its Green Champion Stickerbook. Members can explore success stories, attend events and access news, insights and practical guides. Serving more than 300 businesses in the UK and beyond, iiE aims to make environmental improvement accessible and credible, helping members build skills, demonstrate their commitment and identify opportunities for greater efficiency.
