Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change

The Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC) is a European-focused membership organisation that brings investors together to support action on climate change. Founded in 2001, it works with institutional investors to help them address climate-related financial risks and opportunities and contribute to a net zero, climate-resilient future. Its work spans net zero, climate adaptation and resilience, emerging markets and developing economies, and nature.

IIGCC provides members with guidance, frameworks, practical tools, research, events and opportunities to collaborate. Its Net Zero Investment Framework helps investors set targets and develop net zero strategies and transition plans. Other resources address asset allocation, climate risk assessment, climate solutions, stewardship and engagement across asset classes. The organisation also supports policy advocacy and investor initiatives, including corporate and sector engagement programmes, and collaborates through working groups and initiatives such as Climate Action 100+, Nature Action 100 and the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative. Members can access expert guidance, learning opportunities, resources and events, while IIGCC shares public insights, news and reports to inform wider discussion about investor action on climate change.
