About Ikam Expeditions
Ikam Expeditions is an ecotourism brand that takes its name from the Awajún language, where 'Ikam' means forest. Specializing in birding, primate, and wildlife photography, our expeditions aim to foster a deeper connection between people and nature while generating mutual benefits for our conservation partners. Founded in 2018 by Julio Cesar Tello Alvarado, based in Moyobamba city, San Martin region, our team includes experts like Julio C.
Tello, Pablo C. Romo, and Jorge Cárdenas Rucoba. We operate the Morro de Calzada Amazon Center, a hub for bird and primate watching, biodiversity research, and environmental education.
