About Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia
The Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia (ILAM) is a prominent brand in the field of landscape architecture. For the past 30 years, ILAM has played a crucial role in Malaysia's development projects by balancing environmental needs with the construction of buildings and public spaces. Initially known as Angkatan Landskap Arkitek Malaysia (ALAM), the organization was established on 24th September 1981.
ALAM brought together professionals, semi-professionals, students, and individuals with a shared passion for organizing and developing green spaces. Recognizing its expertise, ILAM became a member of the prestigious Malaysian Professional Centre or Balai Ikhtisas Malaysia (BIM) in 1982. ILAM offers a range of services and products to support the landscape architecture profession.
This includes membership applications for individuals and organizations, as well as a comprehensive register of consultants and registered firms. ILAM also provides education and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) opportunities to enhance the skills and expertise of landscape architects.
