IL CANEVARO

Il Canevaro is a gourmet restaurant in Villamagina, near Sellano in Italy’s Province of Perugia. Rooted in the tradition of the “canevaro,” a historic keeper of food and wine and a gathering place for the community, the restaurant aims to make dining a source of pleasure, conviviality, and well-being. It serves regional Italian cooking reinterpreted with a light touch, using carefully selected seasonal ingredients.

The menu changes every three months to reflect what is in season. Around 90 percent of the first courses feature fresh egg pasta made by the chef, while the meat selection includes high-quality Italian and international cuts. Desserts are also prepared in-house and presented with care.

The restaurant’s wine cellar focuses on quality wines from renowned Italian wine-producing areas, and staff can recommend food-and-wine pairings. Il Canevaro also welcomes celebrations and special occasions, offering an elegant, atmospheric setting alongside its food and wine. Guests can contact the restaurant by phone or email to enquire or make a reservation.

It is open daily except Tuesdays
