Fondata negli anni 1920, Il Cascinone è una delle principali tenute dell’Acquese votate alla produzione di Barbera d’Asti. Caratterizzata da ripidi vigneti, difficili da mantenere e coltivare, nella seconda metà del ‘900 Il Cascinone subì un lento abbandono, accompagnato da una consistente perdita di vigneti. Nel 2001, l’azienda fu acquistata dal Gruppo Araldica che decise di riportarla all’antico splendore. Un lunghissimo lavoro di ripristino e reimpianto dei vigneti, accompagnato alla ristrutturazione delle cantine, oggi fa de Il Cascinone il fiore all’occhiello non solo del Gruppo Araldica, ma di tutto il territorio. La nuova struttura, che vinifica le uve all’interno delle proprie cantine, è stata inaugurata nel 2004.

About Araldica Castelvero
Araldica Castelvero, also known as Castel Boglione, is a renowned brand that was founded in the 1920s. One of the main estates in the Acquese region dedicated to the production of Barbera d'Asti, Castelvero is characterized by its steep vineyards, which are challenging to maintain and cultivate. However, in the second half of the 20th century, the estate experienced a slow decline, resulting in a significant loss of vineyards.
In 2001, the Araldica Group acquired Castelvero and made the decision to restore it to its former glory. Extensive work was undertaken to restore and replant the vineyards, accompanied by the renovation of the cellars. Today, Castelvero is not only the pride of the Araldica Group but also the entire region.
The brand's new winemaking facility, inaugurated in 2004, is equipped to process the grapes within its own cellars. Castelvero specializes in producing exquisite Barbera d'Asti wines. These wines, available in three different superior variations, are aged in French oak barrels and large Slavonian oak barrels of 35 and 70 hectoliters.
