Il Chiese

Il Chiese is a social promotion association based in Storo, in Italy’s Valle del Chiese. For more than fifty years, it has worked to advance culture, historical research and the preservation and sharing of local heritage, while supporting cultural activity in all its forms. The association views cultural participation as a way to encourage inclusion, personal growth, mutual understanding and community development.

Its projects connect people with the area’s history, traditions and landscape through public events, research, publications and local activities. The programme includes cultural gatherings and performances, such as the Vibrazioni Positive series, as well as guided urban trekking that explores the valley’s nature, places and stories. Il Chiese also publishes and sells books on local history, people, language and traditions, including the Passato Presente series and guides to the Lodron heritage. Based in Storo, the association invites residents and visitors to discover the territory and its cultural identity. Supporters can also contribute through Italy’s five-per-thousand tax donation scheme.
