IlluminatingDoula

Illuminating Doula Services provides birth and postpartum support for families across New York City’s five boroughs, New Jersey, Long Island, and Connecticut. Led by Tiombe Bowman, an internationally certified doula with experience supporting more than 100 births, the team aims to ensure parents feel supported before, during, and after welcoming a child.

Services include childbirth classes to help expectant parents and their partners prepare for labor and birth, as well as prenatal visits and continuous support during labor and delivery. The team also offers postpartum planning to help families organize ahead of the baby’s arrival, postpartum doula care, and overnight support to assist with recovery and rest. Lactation consulting addresses breastfeeding questions and feeding concerns. Additional options include virtual labor doula support and sibling support for older children and the wider household during the transition.

Illuminating Doula Services welcomes both first-time parents seeking reassurance and experienced families who need extra help. Its doulas are described as fully vaccinated and follow CDC recommendations when working with families.
