Il Millepiedi is a social cooperative based in the Varese area of Italy, where it has worked for more than 15 years to support people with disabilities and their families. Operating across Varese and nearby districts, the organization provides daytime social and educational services for people with disabilities, with a focus on personal and social autonomy, wellbeing, and inclusion. Its services include a program for developing independent living skills, a day social-educational center, and Mille e una Notte, a residential learning home for autonomy.
Individual projects are supported by professional educators, psychological staff, and volunteers, and are designed around each person’s needs and goals. Il Millepiedi also includes an association that coordinates volunteers and creates leisure opportunities, and a sports association that promotes inclusion through activities such as Baskin and juggling. The cooperative works with the wider community to build inclusive opportunities and invites people to support its projects through donations, volunteering, and Italy’s 5x1000 tax contribution
