ILoveBlackPeople. Com is a transformative platform dedicated to empowering the Black community by providing resources to navigate a often challenging world. Built by BillMari, the website and related I Love Black People Safe Places App aim to protect individuals from racism and afrophobia by crowdsourcing Black-owned and Black-friendly businesses.
This initiative revives the spirit of the historical Green Book, originally published in 1937, which served as a critical resource for safe travel during the era of Jim Crow segregation. The platform not only curates a comprehensive directory of safe spaces but also features the Global Green Book: A Black Survival Guide, which includes editions focused on healthcare, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Co-founders Christopher Mapondera and Sinclair Skinner bring extensive experience in technology, economic development, and human rights advocacy to the organization.
ILoveBlackPeople. com is committed to fostering community support and promoting economic empowerment through accessible information and resources
