About The “I Love U Guys” Foundation
The “I Love U Guys” Foundation is a brand dedicated to restoring and protecting the joy of youth through various educational programs and positive actions. Founded in 2006 by Ellen and John-Michael Keyes after the tragic loss of their daughter, Emily, in a school shooting, the foundation aims to collaborate with families, schools, communities, organizations, and government entities to fulfill their mission. Initially focused on school safety, the foundation observed a communication barrier between schools and first responders during emergencies.
To address this issue, they developed a common vocabulary and set of actions through extensive research and collaboration. These programs, which are constantly evolving, have been implemented in over 30,000 schools, agencies, and organizations worldwide. The foundation offers free programs and instruction, with additional training and certification options for those seeking further support.
With the addition of Carly Posey as the Mission Director, the foundation has become a conduit for real-world solutions, bringing together experts in education, law enforcement, emergency management, and psychology to enhance student and school safety. Guided by their focus on kindness and community, The “I Love U Guys” Foundation strives to create a positive and safe environment for youth, ultimately restoring and protecting the joy of their childhood and beyond
