About Illinois Association of Prescribing Psychologists
The Illinois Association of Prescribing Psychologists (IAPP) is an advocacy organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and equitable mental health care to all communities in Illinois. They strive to increase access to care through the practice of prescriptive authority by highly trained and licensed prescribing psychologists. IAPP offers resources for training to licensed clinicians and members, and they are actively involved in educating policymakers and the public about the diverse needs of communities and how prescribing psychologists can meet those needs.
Their mission is to expand the scope of practice for prescribing psychologists, advocate for underserved populations, promote diversity and inclusivity within the field, and ensure diversity and inclusivity within their association. In addition to their advocacy work, IAPP provides resources such as a directory of prescribing psychologists, collaborative agreements, and information on medication parameters. They also offer scholarships, mobile apps/internet resources, medical rotations, and telehealth services.
With a commitment to improving mental health care and advocating for the needs of Illinois communities, IAPP is dedicated to making a difference in the field of psychology
