Il Sorriso is a social cooperative based in the Cernobbio and Como area of Italy. For more than forty years, it has worked to promote social inclusion and support people with disabilities and their families. Through its CSE activities, the cooperative welcomes people with disabilities from the local community and provides opportunities for participation, creativity and shared experiences.
Its activities include theatre-dance, art therapy, outings in the local area, day trips and summer holidays. The cooperative also runs “Il Circo Fragile,” highlighted among its programmes, and shares updates about its work and community events. In addition to these services, Il Sorriso offers contract work for local businesses, mainly assembly tasks. Participants and volunteers carry out this work with attention to accuracy and delivery deadlines, creating a practical opportunity for engagement and collaboration.
The organisation’s work is supported by members, employees and collaborators, and volunteers. Individuals can contribute through donations or by allocating their 5×1000 tax contribution to the cooperative.
