ILT

Integrated Learning Therapy (ILT) is a neurodevelopmental, multidisciplinary approach designed to help children who struggle with learning, behaviour, or readiness for school. Rather than relying on labels such as ADHD or dyslexia, ILT practitioners investigate the possible underlying causes of a child’s difficulties, considering the child’s development and environment as a whole. The approach draws on knowledge of neurophysiology, neurochemistry, and neuroanatomy to understand how children receive, process, and respond to information.

ILT offers practitioner assessments and support for challenges involving reading, writing, maths, spelling, concentration, organisation, and socially accepted behaviour. Its stated aim is to address contributing factors and help children overcome difficulties, while recognising that there is no quick or guaranteed cure. The organisation also provides learning programmes, including Colour Me Able and Wired to Learn, alongside educational resources on learning readiness, learning difficulties, nutrition, and child development.
