About Iluminemos por el autismo
Iluminemos por el Autismo is a non-profit association founded in 2015 with a mission to improve the quality of life for individuals with autism and their families. In Mexico, 1 in every 115 people is affected by autism, and our goal is to enhance the well-being of each one of them. We tackle challenges ranging from family support and empowerment to educational inclusion, employment opportunities, public policies, and raising awareness in order to ensure the full inclusion of individuals with autism in our society.
Since our inception, we have directly impacted over 144,000 people and indirectly influenced hundreds of thousands more. Our programs focus on education and training, family support, increasing awareness, collaboration with companies and institutions, and advocating for public policy changes.
