About Imagine We Rwanda
Imagine We Rwanda is a creative, young community dedicated to changing the reading culture among children and youth in Rwanda. Founded in 2015, our passion is to provide high-quality African books, give a voice to young authors, and promote the endless possibilities of reading, knowing, and exploring. We publish novels and storybooks about Rwanda, donate books to schools in need, and offer training for authors and language teachers. Our personalized books, aimed at children ages 0-6, take them on exciting adventures to discover Rwanda's touristic destinations. By featuring the child's name throughout the story, we ensure they are part of the whole adventure.
Our impact is widespread, reaching over 35,000 children and youth through our services and programs, impacting more than 30 schools and organizations, and receiving 550+ stories and manuscripts from Rwanda and the region.
