The IMCS Network is a global community bringing together national fisheries agencies and regional fisheries organisations to strengthen fisheries monitoring, control and surveillance (MCS), compliance and enforcement. Founded in 2001, the Network was born from a simple truth: the professionals on the frontlines of fisheries MCS need to be connected, supported and empowered. Today, we connect 81 national agencies and regional organisations, alongside partners from IGOs, NGOs and academia. Together, we are building a globally connected and capable fisheries MCS community — one that works collectively to achieve and sustain effective compliance in support of marine conservation and fisheries management.
