About IMISCOE
IMISCOE (International Migration Research Network) is the largest interdisciplinary network of scholars working in migration studies, with a focus on comparative research and collaborative research projects. Its community brings together 75 member institutes and more than 1,500 scholars from around the world. The network supports the exchange of knowledge on international migration, integration and social cohesion, connecting researchers through member institutions, standing committees and academic activities.
IMISCOE offers opportunities to participate through institutional and individual membership. Its activities include annual conferences, forums, research committees and a Migration Research Hub that brings together experts, publications, datasets and projects. The network also shares research and discussion through its publications catalogue, library, newsletters, news service, podcast and specialist blogs covering subjects such as migration and labour markets, race and discrimination, forced migration, citizenship, families and education.
For doctoral researchers, IMISCOE provides a PhD Academy and network, schools, training opportunities and awards, including the Maria Ioannis Baganha Dissertation Award and the Rinus Penninx Best Paper Award.
