The Directorate of Immigration Services, established through Executive Order Number 2 of 2023, operates under the State Department for Immigration and Citizen Services in Kenya. Rooted in the Constitution of Kenya and various immigration laws, this institution plays a critical role in managing the movement of individuals in and out of the country. Its comprehensive range of services includes the issuance of passports, Electronic Travel Authorisations (eTA), and management of foreign nationals through work permits and residency applications.
