About Impact Credit Guarantee
Impact Credit Guarantee Limited (Impact) is a leading nation-wide Credit Guarantee Company in Nigeria. As a wholly owned subsidiary of the Development Bank of Nigeria Plc (DBN), Impact was established through a project with the World Bank. Their primary objective is to provide guarantees on loans made to eligible Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs) and small corporates by Participating Financial Institutions (PFIs) in Nigeria.
The establishment of Impact Credit Guarantee Limited aims to address the significant financing constraint faced by MSMEs and small corporates in Nigeria. According to the 2017 National Survey of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, there are 41. 5 million MSMEs in Nigeria, contributing 49.
9% to the GDP. However, less than 5% of these businesses have access to finance, resulting in a financing gap of N48 trillion. With a vision to be a leading sustainable Credit Guarantee Company, Impact works towards improving access to finance for MSMEs by providing partial credit guarantees and offering Technical Assistance to PFIs.
