Impact Nature

Impact Nature is a small local charity dedicated to protecting natural areas and supporting environmental health for communities and future generations. Its mission is to use up-to-date, science-based methods in conservation, restoration, education, and recreation, while partnering with local organizations and businesses.

The organization’s flagship property is a 320-acre site near Tumtum, Washington, featuring a seasonal stream, native wildlife, and habitat corridors. The Lake Spokane Fire burned more than 2,500 acres and affected most of the property. Impact Nature is raising funds to restore the land with native grasses, shrubs, and trees, helping create a more fire-resistant, natural landscape.

Its initiatives include acquiring ecologically important land, planting resilient historical species, managing invasive plants, restoring wildlife habitat, and fostering self-sustaining ecosystems. Impact Nature also provides scholarships and grants for ecology and conservation education, creates community learning opportunities, shares information about its properties, and supports environmental research. The charity aims to expand public access to conservation areas and partner with local institutions to connect recreation with community well-being.
