About Imperial Valley College
Imperial Valley College (IVC) is dedicated to fostering academic excellence, character development, and inclusive opportunities for students from all walks of life. Offering a range of programs, IVC empowers students to achieve their educational and career aspirations while remaining responsive to the community's needs.
A significant addition to IVC's identity is the newly unveiled Desert Warrior mascot, embodying strength, resilience, and the college's core values. Initiated in 2019, the redesign process actively engaged students, alumni, and staff, culminating in a community-driven choice of the "Desert Warrior," officially adopted in June 2023.
The mascot's design, developed in collaboration with local artists and refined through community feedback, reflects IVC’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. The Desert Warrior symbolizes the college's dedication to excellence, integrity, accessibility, and innovation. As IVC integrates this vibrant mascot into promotional materials and merchandise, it aims to inspire school spirit and unity within the community.
